Technical Requirements for Titanium Alloy Rods
1: The chemical composition of titanium and titanium alloy bars must conform to the standards stipulated in GB/T 3620.1. When reinspection is conducted by the buyer, the permissible deviation in chemical composition should comply with the specifications detailed in GB/T 3620.2.
2: The diameter or side length of the hot-working bar and its permissible deviation should adhere to the standards outlined in Table 1.
3: Post hot-processing, the rod undergoes turning (grinding) and cold rolling, with the diameter deviation of the cold-drawn bar meeting the criteria specified in Table 2.
4: The non-roundness of the polished bar after hot working should not exceed half of its specified dimensional tolerance.
5: The indefinite length of the processed bar ranges from 300mm to 6000mm; for the annealed bar, it spans 300mm to 2000mm. The fixed or double-length specifications must fall within these ranges, with an allowable length deviation of +20mm. Additionally, the double-length measurement must account for a cutting allowance of 5mm per section. These specifications should be clearly stated in the contract.
