Product Description

It is primarily available in two variants: brass rod, an economical copper-zinc alloy, and purple copper rod, known for higher copper content. The brass rod, with its characteristic yellow color, is a copper-zinc alloy with a melting point of 934-967 degrees (for brass with 56%-68% copper). Brass is prized for its superior mechanical properties and wear resistance, making it perfect for precision instruments, ship components, gun shells, and more. Zinc content variations produce different hues, with zinc levels between 18%-20% yielding a red-yellow color, and 20%-30% resulting in brownish-yellow. Brass also emits a unique sound when struck, making it the preferred material for a vast array of eastern and western musical instruments such as gongs, cymbals, bells, horns, and brass instruments.
