PH13-8Mo stainless steel, American precipitation hardening stainless steel. 0Cr13Ni8Mo2Al(PH13-8Mo) steel is a kind of high strength martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel with double vacuum smelting. The outstanding features of this steel are in addition to high strength, excellent fracture toughness, good transverse mechanical properties and stress corrosion resistance in Marine environments. In order to accurately control the alloy composition, reduce the gas content in steel and improve the purity of steel, VIM 10 VAR double vacuum smelting process should be used in production. Due to the good comprehensive properties of steel, it has been widely used in aerospace, nuclear reactors and petrochemical and other fields, such as cold heading and machined fasteners, aircraft parts, reactor parts and petrochemical equipment.
XM-13 does not require heat treatment because it has good oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance. It can be used at room temperature or tempered to improve hardness and strength.
Density:
XM-13 has a density of about 7.8 g/cm ³.
Welding process:
XM-13 can be welded by conventional arc welding methods, such as manual arc welding, gas shielded welding, induction welding, etc. During the welding process, it is recommended to use welding materials that are similar or compatible with the substrate to ensure the quality of the weld.
Physical properties:
- Density: 7.8g /cm³
- Melting point: about 1400-1450ºC
- Thermal conductivity: 15-20 W/(m·K)
- Linear expansion coefficient: about 14.6μm /m·°C
Weldability:
XM-13 has good welding performance and can perform conventional welding operations. In the welding process, attention should be paid to controlling the appropriate welding parameters to avoid welding defects.
Corrosion resistance:
XM-13 has excellent corrosion resistance and can resist the corrosion of most acid, alkali and salt media. It has good corrosion resistance, including resistance to seawater, acidic solutions, alkaline solutions and chlorides.
Polishing properties:
XM-13 has good polishing properties, and can be processed by mechanical polishing or chemical polishing to obtain a bright surface.
Heat resistance:
XM-13 has certain heat resistance and can be used in high temperature operating environments. It is able to maintain its mechanical properties and corrosion resistance at high temperatures.
Structural composition:
XM-13 is mainly composed of austenite phase and has good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.
