Product Description

Lightweight Gr5 Titanium Alloy Tube Ta5 Nickel Bar
Crafted with the finest Gr5 Titanium Alloy, our Titanium Alloy Pipe is categorized based on its unique compositions: 1) Titanium with added Aluminum and Tin; 2) An infusion of Aluminum, Chromium, Molybdenum, and Vanadium; 3) Titanium enhanced with Aluminum and Vanadium. These alloys boast remarkable mechanical properties and superior stamping performance. They support versatile welding methods, with welded joints retaining 90% of the matrix metal's strength. Additionally, they offer excellent machinability. Titanium pipes exhibit high resistance to corrosion from chloride, sulfide, and ammonia, surpassing aluminum alloys, stainless steel, and nickel-based alloys in seawater environments. Their resistance to water impact is also noteworthy.

Properties of Titanium Alloy Tubes
Performance Attributes of Titanium Alloy Tubes: This innovative metal, Titanium Alloy, is influenced by the purity levels of impurities like carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen, and oxygen. The purest Titanium Iodide contains impurities under 0.1%, resulting in low strength but high plasticity. Industrial-grade pure Titanium (99.5%) boasts properties including: Density ρ=4.5g/cm³, Melting Point 1725ºC, Thermal Conductivity λ=15.24W/(m.K), Tensile Strength σb=539MPa, Elongation δ=25%, Section Shrinkage ψ=25%, Elastic Modulus E=1.078×10MPa, and Hardness HB195.
Outstanding Advantages of Titanium Alloy

Titanium Alloy's Edge Over Other Metals:
Exceptional Strength-to-Weight Ratio: The tensile strength of Titanium alloys ranges between 100 and 140kgf/mm², while maintaining a density that is just 60% of steel.
Superior Medium Temperature Strength: Titanium alloys sustain their required strength at temperatures several hundred degrees higher than aluminum alloys, performing reliably at 450-500ºC.
Impressive Corrosion Resistance: Titanium forms a uniform and dense oxide film on its surface in atmospheric conditions, offering resistance to various corrosive media. It excels in oxidizing and neutral environments, as well as in seawater, wet chlorine gas, and chloride solutions. However, its resistance in reducing environments, such as hydrochloric acid, is less effective.
Low Temperature Performance: Titanium alloys like TA7, with minimal interstitial elements, retain plasticity even at -253ºC.
Unique Characteristics: Low elastic modulus, minimal thermal conductivity, and non-ferromagnetic properties.
High Hardness: Titanium alloys exhibit exceptional hardness.
Thermoplasticity: Although Titanium alloys have poor stamping capabilities, they possess commendable thermoplasticity.
Customizable Microstructure: Through heat treatment, Titanium alloys can achieve different phase compositions and microstructures. Fine equiaxed structures offer superior plasticity, thermal stability, and fatigue strength. Acicular structures provide high enduring strength, creep resistance, and fracture toughness. A blend of equiaxed and acicular structures delivers an optimum balance of properties.
Common heat treatment methods include annealing, solution treatment, and aging treatment. Annealing serves to eliminate internal stress, enhance plasticity, and stabilize the structure, resulting in superior overall properties. Typically, the annealing temperature for α alloy and (α+β) alloy is set at 120 ~ 200ºC below the (α+β) → β phase transition point. Solution and aging treatment involve rapid cooling from high temperatures to form martensitic α' phase and metastable β phase, followed by heat preservation at intermediate temperatures to decompose these metastable phases into α phase or compounds and other finely dispersed secondary phase particles, thereby strengthening the alloy. Generally, (α + β) alloy is quenched at 40 ~ 100 ºC below the (α+β) → β phase transition point, while metastable β alloy is quenched at 40 ~ 80 ºC above the transition point. Aging treatment temperatures usually range from 450 ~ 550ºC. Additionally, to meet specific workpiece requirements, the industry employs double annealing, isothermal annealing, β heat treatment, deformation heat treatment, and other specialized metal heat treatment processes.

Application

Titanium alloy is predominantly utilized in the manufacturing of aircraft engine compressor components and is also integral to the construction of rockets, missiles, and high-speed aircraft structural parts. Since the mid-1960s, titanium and its alloys have found widespread use in general industry, particularly in the production of electrolytic industry electrodes, power station condensers, oil refining and seawater desalination heaters, and environmental pollution control devices. Known for their exceptional corrosion resistance, titanium and its alloys are also employed in the creation of hydrogen storage materials and shape memory alloys.

China embarked on the research of titanium and titanium alloys in 1956, and by the mid-1960s, had initiated the industrial production of titanium materials, including the development of the TB2 alloy.
