Properties of the Titanium Alloy Tube
Performance of the Titanium Alloy Tube: Shanghai Bolaisheng Metal Group Co., Ltd. offers high-performance titanium alloy tubes refined with minimal impurities like carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen, and oxygen. The purest titanium iodide contains impurities below 0.1%, ensuring low strength but high plasticity. Key properties of 99.5% industrial pure titanium include: Density ρ=4.5g/cm³, Melting Point 1725ºC, Thermal Conductivity λ=15.24W/(m·K), Tensile Strength σb=539MPa, Elongation δ=25%, Section Shrinkage ψ=25%, Elastic Modulus E=1.078×10MPa, and Hardness HB195.
Advantages of Titanium Alloy
Titanium alloy from Shanghai Bolaisheng Metal Group Co., Ltd. excels when compared to other metal materials:
Titanium alloys deliver an exceptional strength-to-density ratio, with tensile strength reaching 100 ~ 140kgf/mm² and a density that's just 60% of steel.
Superior medium temperature strength, maintaining required strength at temperatures several hundred degrees higher than aluminum alloys. Titanium alloys can perform efficiently at 450 ~ 500°C for extended periods.
Outstanding corrosion resistance, forming a uniform, dense oxide film on titanium surfaces in the atmosphere. They resist erosion from various media, providing excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing and neutral environments. Titanium is especially effective in seawater, wet chlorine gas, and chloride solutions, though it shows reduced resistance in reducing media like hydrochloric acid.
Exceptional low-temperature performance with certain titanium alloys, like TA7, maintaining plasticity at -253°C.
Low elastic modulus, minimal thermal conductivity, and non-ferromagnetic properties.
High hardness.
Poor stamping capabilities but excellent thermoplasticity.
Heat-treated titanium alloys from Shanghai Bolaisheng Metal Group Co., Ltd. can achieve varied phase compositions and microstructures through meticulous heat treatment processes. Fine equiaxial structures offer superior plasticity, thermal stability, and fatigue strength, while acicular structures provide high-lasting strength, creep strength, and fracture toughness. Equiaxed and acicular structures combine to deliver a balanced set of performance characteristics.
Common heat treatment methods are annealing, solution, and aging treatment. Annealing is employed to eliminate internal stress, enhance plasticity, and stabilize the structure, aiming to achieve superior comprehensive properties. Typically, the annealing temperature for α alloy and (α+β) alloy is selected at 120 ~ 200ºC below the (α+β) -→ β phase transition point. Solution and aging treatment involves rapid cooling from the high-temperature region to form martensitic α' phase and metastable β phase, followed by heat preservation in the mid-temperature region to decompose these phases, resulting in α phase or compounds and other finely dispersed secondary phase particles, thereby strengthening the alloy. Generally, (alpha + beta) alloy is quenched below the alpha + beta) -- - > beta phase transition point at 40 ~ 100 ºC, while metastable beta alloy is quenched above this point at 40 ~ 80 ºC. The aging treatment temperature typically ranges from 450 ~ 550ºC. To meet specific workpiece requirements, the industry also utilizes double annealing, isothermal annealing, β heat treatment, deformation heat treatment, and other specialized metal heat treatment processes.

Titanium alloy is predominantly utilized in the production of aircraft engine compressor components, followed by rockets, missiles, and high-speed aircraft structural parts. Since the mid-1960s, titanium and its alloys have found applications in general industry, including the manufacture of electrodes for the electrolytic industry, power station condensers, oil refining and seawater desalination heaters, as well as environmental pollution control devices. Renowned for their corrosion-resistant properties, titanium and its alloys are also used in hydrogen storage materials and shape memory alloys.
China embarked on the research of titanium and its alloys in 1956. By the mid-1960s, the country initiated industrial production of titanium materials, successfully developing the TB2 alloy. Our Advantages
