Product Description

Titanium Plate Tb7 Tb8 Hot Rolling 0.5mm-150mm Titanium Alloy Sheet Platinum Coated Titanium Plates Various Sizes Can Be Customized
Titanium alloy, a sophisticated blend where other elements are integrated with titanium, boasts unparalleled properties. Below 882ºC, titanium assumes a close-packed hexagonal structure known as α titanium. Above this threshold, it transforms into body-centered cubic β titanium. Our meticulous technical standards include: 1: The chemical composition of titanium and its alloys adheres strictly to GB/T 3620.1. Any deviations during buyer reinspection align with GB/T 3620.2. 2: Thickness deviations of the sheets are regulated by Table 1. 3: Width and length deviations strictly follow Table 2. 4: Sheet corners are precision-cut into right angles, ensuring any slope remains within the permissible width and length deviations.

Advanced Alloying Techniques

Titanium alloy is a distinguished blend where other elements are incorporated with titanium. It showcases two homogenized crystal forms: below 882ºC for close-packed hexagonal α titanium, and above 882ºC for body-centered cubic β titanium.
Alloying elements are classified into three categories based on their influence on phase transition temperatures:
1. α Stabilizers: Elements such as aluminum, carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen stabilize the α phase and elevate the phase transition temperature. Aluminum, in particular, significantly enhances the alloy's strength at both room and high temperatures, reduces specific gravity, and increases elastic modulus.
2. β Stabilizers: These elements lower the phase transition temperature and are categorized into isomorphic and eutectoid types. Examples include:
Isomorphic β stabilizers: molybdenum, niobium, vanadium. Eutectoid β stabilizers: chromium, manganese, copper, iron, silicon.
3. Neutral Elements: Elements such as zirconium and tin have minimal impact on phase transition temperatures.
Impurities like oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, and hydrogen play critical roles in titanium alloys. Oxygen and nitrogen, highly soluble in the α phase, significantly strengthen the alloy but reduce plasticity. Acceptable limits are 0.15~0.2% for oxygen and 0.04~0.05% for nitrogen. Hydrogen, with low solubility in the alpha phase, can cause brittleness if in excess, forming hydrides. The hydrogen content is controlled below 0.015%, and excess hydrogen can be removed via vacuum annealing.

Applications

The titanium plate's exceptional corrosion resistance, low density, shape memory, and non-magnetic properties make it invaluable in the shipbuilding industry. Its applications span across nuclear submarines, deep-sea submersibles, atomic icebreakers, hydrofoils, hovercrafts, minesweepers, propellers, whip antennas, seawater pipes, condensers, heat exchangers, acoustic devices, and fire-fighting equipment. Key titanium alloys include industrial pure titanium, titanium zirconium alloy, and other advanced titanium alloys.
(1) All-Titanium Ships. F1 boasts remarkable expertise in crafting titanium boats. Throughout the 1990s, industry leaders such as Toho Titanium Co., LTD., Nikko Industrial Co., LTD., Fuji Shin Shipyard, and Eteng Shipyard pioneered the manufacture of all-titanium fishing boats and speedboats. These vessels offer unparalleled advantages: lightweight, high-speed, compact engines, lower fuel costs, reduced carbon dioxide emissions, no need for surface coatings, and easy maintenance. Despite higher material costs and challenging manufacturing processes, the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks. Tests confirm exceptional speed stability, reduced vibration, and minimal noise.
(2) Atomic-Powered Ships. In Russia, titanium alloy has revolutionized the construction of steam engines, heat exchangers, and ship coolers by replacing stainless steel, thus eliminating corrosion issues. Titanium steam engines are now a staple in the power plants of Russian atomic icebreakers, significantly extending engine lifespans by up to 10 times.
(3) Propellers. Propeller materials must exhibit high strength, superior fatigue performance, and resistance to erosion and cavitation in seawater. Titanium alloys fulfill these stringent requirements. The U.S. Navy pioneered the use of a 1,500 mm diameter, four-bladed detachable titanium alloy propeller on a hydrofoil. China joined the innovation bandwagon in 1972, producing hydrofoil speedboat propellers. Today, titanium alloy propellers are available in diameters ranging from 450mm to 1700mm. The 1200mm fixed propeller, weighing 130kg, demonstrates a service life more than five times that of traditional copper alloy propellers.
(4) Marine Pumps, Valves, and Pipes. Conventional pumps, valves, and pipes made from copper and stainless steel offer a service life of merely 2-5 years under harsh conditions. Titanium alloy replacements exhibit exceptional performance, particularly in large flow mobile seawater pipelines. Russian ship pipeline standards mandate a first docking maintenance period of 8-9 years, a minimum service life of 15 years, and reliable operation for 25-30 years for all vessel types.
