Titanium coil - titanium strip - titanium foil: This encompasses titanium plates, strips, rolls, or sheets with a thickness ranging from 10mm to as thin as 0.1mm. They are categorized into pure titanium foil and titanium alloy foil. Another vital metric for assessing titanium foil thickness is the weight per unit area, expressed as g/m or oz/fi-the higher the value, the thicker the foil. Customized widths are cut based on specific user requirements, though broader widths during manufacturing enhance productivity. The length of the roll body determines the maximum width of the rolled foil, where wider and thinner pieces are challenging to roll. The maximum rolled titanium foil width is approximately 600mm.
Titanium coil - titanium strip - titanium foil production method: The production process is meticulously structured as follows: electrode preparation → vacuum melting → forging and opening → hot rolling → cold rolling → annealing (heat treatment) → resulting in plates, strips, and foils.
Titanium coil - titanium strip - titanium foil rolling: The prevalent method for manufacturing titanium foil is flat roll belt rolling, known for its high productivity, scale, and output. Typically, a six-roll cold rolling mill or a 20-roll cold rolling mill is used for this production.
Titanium coil - titanium strip - titanium foil heat treatment: Two primary heat treatment methods exist for titanium strip foil: vacuum annealing and continuous online protection annealing. Vacuum annealing involves heat-treating rolled or sheet titanium foil in a vacuum furnace. In contrast, continuous online protection annealing, a modern technology, offers superior production efficiency and enhanced product quality, although it requires high-end equipment, ensuring excellent product quality and mechanical properties.

Preparation method

Common heat treatment methods are annealing, solution and aging treatment. Annealing is to eliminate internal stress, improve plasticity and structure stability, in order to obtain better comprehensive properties. Generally, the annealing temperature of α alloy and (α+β) alloy is selected at 120 ~ 200ºC below the (α+β) -→ β phase transition point; Solid solution and aging treatment is fast cooling from the high temperature region to obtain martensitic α 'phase and metastable β phase, and then heat preservation in the middle temperature region to decompose these metastable phases, to obtain α phase or compounds and other small dispersed second phase particles, to achieve the purpose of strengthening the alloy. Usually (alpha + beta) alloy quenching in alpha + beta) -- - > beta phase transition point below 40 ~ 100 ºC, metastable beta alloy quenching in alpha + beta) -- - > beta phase transition point above 40 ~ 80 ºC. The aging treatment temperature is generally 450 ~ 550ºC. In addition, in order to meet the special requirements of the workpiece, the industry also uses double annealing, isothermal annealing, β heat treatment, deformation heat treatment and other metal heat treatment processes.
