3. Oxidation and Decarburization Sensitivity
Demonstrates strong oxidation resistance at high temperatures with a slow decarburization rate. It is insensitive to heating medium and has a low tendency to form pitting.
4. Cutting Processability
Capable of high-volume cutting with minimal tool wear and produces surfaces with low roughness during machining.
5. Hardenability
This material can achieve a deep hardened layer post-quenching and can be effectively hardened using mild quenching media.
6. Grindability
Offers low relative loss of grinding wheels and allows for high-limit grinding without burning. It is insensitive to the quality of grinding wheels and cooling conditions, thus reducing the risk of abrasion and grinding cracks.
7. Hardenability
Achieves uniform and exceptionally high surface hardness after quenching.
8. Quenching Deformation Cracking Tendency
During conventional quenching, it exhibits minimal volume change and slight warping or distortion. It has a low tendency for abnormal deformation and is less sensitive to quenching temperature and workpiece shape.
