A superalloy tube is a remarkable alloy tube designed to endure substantial stress while offering superior oxidation and corrosion resistance.
Our superalloys include nickel-based and cobalt-based varieties, meticulously crafted through deformation, casting, and powder metallurgy processes. These superalloys are categorized by their strengthening methods: solid solution strengthening, precipitation strengthening, oxide dispersion strengthening, and fiber strengthening. Primarily, these superalloys are pivotal in manufacturing high-temperature components such as turbine blades, guide blades, turbine discs, high-pressure compressor discs, and combustion chambers for aviation, naval, and industrial gas turbines. Additionally, they play a critical role in space vehicles, rocket engines, nuclear reactors, petrochemical equipment, and energy conversion devices like coal conversion systems.

High Temperature Alloy Pipe Manufacturing Process

In our manufacturing process, superalloys with minimal or no aluminum and titanium are typically smelted using electric arc furnaces or non-vacuum induction furnaces. However, for superalloys containing aluminum and titanium, vacuum smelting is essential to control element burn-off and minimize gas and inclusion contamination. To further enhance the purity and crystal structure of the ingots, we employ a dual process combining smelting with secondary remelting. Our primary smelting methods include electric arc furnaces, vacuum induction furnaces, and non-vacuum induction furnaces, while remelting is performed using vacuum consumable furnaces and electroslag furnaces.
Solid solution strengthened alloys and ingots with low aluminum and titanium content (under 4.5%) are forged, whereas alloys with higher aluminum and titanium content undergo extrusion or rolling followed by hot rolling. Some products may require additional cold rolling or cold drawing. Large-diameter alloy ingots or cakes are forged using hydraulic presses or rapid forging hydraulic presses to achieve the desired shape and properties.
Highly alloyed and less deformable alloys are predominantly utilized in precision casting, such as turbine blades and guide blades. To mitigate grain boundaries perpendicular to the stress axis and porosity in cast alloys, directional crystallization processes have been developed. This technique encourages grains to grow parallelly along a single crystal direction during solidification, resulting in columnar crystals devoid of transverse grain boundaries. Essential conditions for directional crystallization include maintaining a significant axial temperature gradient and excellent axial heat dissipation between the liquidus and solid phases. Moreover, single crystal blade manufacturing processes are being explored to eliminate all grain boundaries.
