15-5PH is a martensitic precipitity-hardened stainless steel developed on the basis of 17-4PH. Compared with 17-4PH, the grade reduces the content of chromium and copper and increases the content of nickel, so after heat treatment, it can effectively reduce the formation probability of ferrite and reduce the accumulation caused by excessive dispersion strengthening phase. Its outstanding advantages are high transverse toughness and good deformation performance. This grade is mainly used in 300°C below the requirements of high strength, good toughness, but also requires good corrosion resistance of the service environment, such as high-strength forgings, high-pressure system valve parts, aircraft engine parts and fasteners.
XM-12 stainless steel is a martensitic precipitation-hardened stainless steel developed on the basis of 630 stainless steel. In addition to high strength, it also has high lateral toughness and good malleability, while corrosion resistance is comparable to 630 stainless steel.
