A Superalloy Tube is an extraordinary metal tube engineered to endure significant stress while offering impressive resistance to oxidation and corrosion. Perfect for high-stress environments, it guarantees longevity and reliability.
Our superalloys are categorized into Nickel-based and Cobalt-based variants. They are meticulously classified by their production process into deformation superalloy, casting superalloy, and powder metallurgy superalloy. Furthermore, based on their strengthening techniques, they include solid solution strengthening, precipitation strengthening, oxide dispersion strengthening, and fiber strengthening types (refer to metal strengthening). Our superalloys are essential in crafting high-temperature components such as turbine blades, guide blades, turbine discs, high-pressure compressor discs, and combustion chambers for aviation, naval, and industrial gas turbines (see Figure 1). Additionally, they are pivotal in manufacturing space vehicles, rocket engines, nuclear reactors, petrochemical equipment, and energy conversion devices like coal conversion systems.

High Temperature Alloy Pipe: State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Process

Our manufacturing process for superalloys with minimal or no aluminum and titanium involves using electric arc furnaces or non-vacuum induction furnaces for smelting. For superalloys containing aluminum and titanium, vacuum smelting is preferred to control element burn-off and minimize gas and inclusions. To further enhance the material quality, a dual process combining smelting and secondary remelting is employed. The primary smelting techniques include electric arc furnace, vacuum induction furnace, and non-vacuum induction furnace, while remelting is conducted using vacuum consumable furnace and electroslag furnace.
Our solid solution strengthened alloys and alloy ingots with low aluminum and titanium content (below 4.5%) are forgeable. Alloys with higher aluminum and titanium content undergo extrusion or rolling, followed by hot rolling, and may require further cold rolling or drawing. Large diameter alloy ingots or cakes are typically forged using hydraulic or fast forging presses to ensure optimal quality.
Highly alloyed, difficult-to-deform superalloys are predominantly utilized in precision casting for components like turbine blades and guide blades. To counter perpendicular grain boundaries and porosity, advanced directional crystallization processes have been developed. These processes ensure grains grow along one crystal direction during alloy solidification, resulting in parallel columnar crystals free from transverse grain boundaries. Achieving directional crystallization requires maintaining a significant axial temperature gradient and optimal axial heat dissipation. Recently, single crystal blade manufacturing techniques have also been explored to eliminate all grain boundaries.
