They offer exceptional high-temperature strength, outstanding oxidation and corrosion resistance, superior fatigue performance, and robust fracture toughness. Due to their superior performance characteristics and high alloying degrees, superalloys, often termed 'super alloys,' are indispensable across aviation, aerospace, petroleum, chemical industries, and maritime applications. Superalloys are categorized by their matrix elements into iron, nickel, cobalt, and other variants. Typically, iron-based superalloys are effective up to 750~780 ºC.
