This versatile material branches into two main types: the brass rod, a cost-effective copper-zinc alloy, and the purple copper rod, known for its elevated copper content. The brass rod, created from a harmonious blend of copper and zinc, is renowned for its distinct yellow shade. With a copper content spanning 56% to 68%, brass boasts a melting point between 934 to 967 degrees. Its outstanding mechanical properties and wear resistance render it perfect for crafting precision instruments, ship components, gun shells, and more. The varying zinc content gives rise to different hues-18%-20% zinc results in a red-yellow color, while 20%-30% zinc produces a brownish-yellow tone. Additionally, brass's unique resonance when struck makes it an ideal choice for eastern gongs, cymbals, bells, horns, and various Western brass instruments.
