Product Description

Stainless steel square tubes are hollow strips of steel with a square cross-section, aptly named square tubes. They are extensively utilized for the transportation of fluids such as oil, natural gas, water, gas, and steam. Besides fluid transport, their light weight paired with strong bending and torsional resistance makes them ideal for manufacturing mechanical parts and engineering structures.
Stainless steel square pipes can be classified into two main categories: seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes (welded pipes). Based on their section shape, they can further be divided into square and rectangular pipes. Although round steel pipes are most common, there are also specialty shapes including semicircular, hexagonal, equilateral triangle, and octagonal pipes.
For stainless steel square pipes subjected to fluid pressure, hydraulic tests are essential to assess their pressure resistance and quality. Pipes must not exhibit any leakage, moistening, or expansion under specified pressure to be deemed qualified. Additionally, other tests such as crimping, flaring, and flattening might be required, depending on standards or customer requirements.
