Given their outstanding performance characteristics and high alloy content, superalloys-often called 'super alloys'-are indispensable in aviation, aerospace, petroleum, chemical industries, and marine applications. They are categorized based on their primary elements into iron, nickel, cobalt, and others. Iron-based superalloys are typically effective up to 750~780ºC, while nickel-based and refractory metal-based alloys are preferred for higher temperature applications.
