State-of-the-Art High Temperature Alloy Pipe Manufacturing Process

Our manufacturing process, particularly for superalloys with minimal aluminum and titanium, involves electric arc or non-vacuum induction furnace smelting. For superalloys with higher aluminum and titanium content, vacuum smelting is preferred to control elemental loss and reduce gas and inclusion intake. To enhance the purity and crystal structure of our ingots, we utilize a combination of smelting and secondary remelting techniques, including vacuum consumable and electroslag furnaces.
Solid solution strengthened alloys and low aluminum-titanium alloy ingots (with less than 4.5% aluminum and titanium) are forged for optimal performance. Alloys with higher aluminum and titanium content undergo extrusion or rolling processes, followed by hot rolling. Some products may require further processing through cold rolling or cold drawing. Large diameter ingots or cakes are forged using hydraulic or fast forging hydraulic presses to ensure superior quality.
Precision casting molding is the preferred method for highly alloyed, less deformable superalloys, ideal for turbine and guide blades. Recent advancements in directional crystallization and single crystal blade manufacturing have significantly enhanced performance by eliminating transverse grain boundaries and porosity, promoting parallel columnar crystal growth during solidification.
