EN AW-2011 2011A 2014 2014A 2214 2017A 2117 aluminum alloy plate characteristics and scope of application :2a12 aluminum alloy plate is a kind of high strength duralumin, which can be strengthened by heat treatment. It has medium plasticity under annealing, hardening and hot state, good spot welding weldability, and tends to form intergranular cracks when using gas welding and argon arc welding. The machinability of the alloy is good after quenching and cold hardening, but bad when annealed. Corrosion resistance is not high, often using anodic oxidation treatment and painting method or surface coated with aluminum layer to improve the corrosion resistance.
Mechanical properties

Sample size: Rod diameter (square rod, hexagonal rod inscribed circle diameter) ≤ 22
Heat Treatment
(1) Homogenization annealing: heating to 480~495ºC; holding for 12~14h; furnace cooling.
(2) Complete annealing: heating to 390~430ºC; holding time 30~120min; furnace cooling to 300ºC and air cooling.
(3) Rapid annealing: heating at 350~370ºC; holding time at 30~120min; air cooling.
(4) Quenching and aging: quenching at 495~505ºC, water cooling; artificial aging at 185~195ºC, 6~12h, air cooling; natural aging: 96h at room temperature.

The alloy strength does not meet the requirements: the strength of the alloy can be adjusted by heat treatment or cold working. 3. Cracks in the alloy: may be caused by defects in the material or excessive stress during processing, and reasonable process adjustment should be made. 4. The alloy surface is dented or scratched: the defects on the alloy surface can be repaired by polishing or spraying. |
