Stainless steel plate, a term encompassing both stainless and acid-resistant steel plates, has been a cornerstone of modern industry and technological advancements since the early 20th century. This versatile material is available in numerous varieties, each with distinct properties, and has evolved into several classifications. Structurally, stainless steel plates are divided into four main categories: austenitic, martensitic (including precipitation hardening types), ferritic, and austenitic-ferritic duplex stainless steel plates. Chemically, they can be categorized based on elements like chromium, nickel, and molybdenum, resulting in types such as chromium stainless steel, chromium-nickel stainless steel, and more. Performance-wise, stainless steel plates are classified by their resistance to various stresses and conditions, such as acid, pitting, and stress corrosion. Additionally, functional characteristics like low-temperature resilience, non-magnetic properties, and easy cutting capabilities further define these plates. Common classification methods combine structural and chemical composition, typically resulting in categories like martensitic, ferritic, austenitic, duplex, and precipitation hardening stainless steel plates, or simply chromium and nickel stainless steel plates. Typical applications include pulp and paper machinery, heat exchangers, mechanical and dyeing equipment, film processing machinery, pipelines, and coastal building materials.

Physical propertiesProduction technology process
Stainless steel pattern plate is divided into two categories:
One is the steel mill in the production of stainless steel through the rolling mill, this kind of product is mainly in the thickness of about 3-6mm, is hot rolling after annealing pickling state, the process is as follows:
Stainless steel billet → rolling black coil in hot tandem mill → hot annealing and pickling line → flattening machine, drawing straightening machine, polishing line → cross cutting line → hot rolled stainless steel pattern plate
One side of this pattern board is flat, and the other side is a pattern. This kind of pattern plate is more commonly used in chemical industry, railway vehicles, platforms and other occasions requiring strength. Such products are mainly imported, generally from Japan and Belgium, and the domestic production of TISCO and Baosteel belongs to this type.
The second type is the processing enterprises on the market, the purchase of hot-rolled or cold-rolled stainless steel plate from steel mills, the pattern plate formed by mechanical stamping, such products are concave and convex, often used in general civil decoration occasions. Such products are cold-rolled more, and most of the 2B/BA cold-rolled stainless steel pattern plates on the market are of this type.
