Stainless steel plates encompass a wide range of stainless and acid-resistant steel options. Since its creation in the early 20th century, stainless steel has been instrumental in propelling modern industry and scientific advancements. The diverse range of stainless steel plates, each boasting distinct properties, has given rise to various classifications. Structurally, stainless steel plates are divided into four main categories: austenitic, martensitic (including precipitation hardening), ferritic, and austenitic-ferritic duplex. Chemically, they are sorted based on their core compositions or distinguishing elements: chromium stainless steel, chromium-nickel, chromium-nickel-molybdenum, low carbon, high molybdenum, and high purity stainless steel plates. Performance-wise, they are segmented into pitting-resistant, stress corrosion-resistant, high strength, and sulfuric acid-resistant plates. Functionally, these plates can be low-temperature, non-magnetic, easy-cutting, or superplastic stainless steel varieties. Typically, classifications merge structural and chemical characteristics, categorizing plates into martensitic, ferritic, austenitic, duplex, and precipitation hardening types, or simply into chromium and nickel stainless steel. These plates find typical applications in pulp and paper equipment, heat exchangers, mechanical equipment, dyeing equipment, film washing equipment, pipelines, and coastal building exteriors.
