Our exceptional stainless steel pipe, a marvel of versatile hollow cylindrical steel, boasts extensive applications across a multitude of industries including petroleum, chemical, medical, food, light industry, and mechanical instrumentation. Celebrated for its powerful strength in both bending and torsion yet maintaining a lightweight profile, it is the perfect choice for crafting intricate mechanical parts, robust engineering structures, and even stylish furniture kitchenware.
According to its composition, stainless steel is categorized into various series: the Cr series (400 series), Cr-Ni series (300 series), Cr-Mn-Ni (200 series), heat-resistant chromium alloy steel (500 series), and precipitation hardening series (600 series).
200 series: chromium-manganese-nickel, a versatile and economical choice.
201, 202, etc.: These variants where manganese replaces nickel, offer relatively lower corrosion resistance but are widely used as a cost-effective substitute for the 300 series in China.
300 series: chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel, known for its excellent corrosion resistance and formability.
304: This is the general model, renowned as 18/8 stainless steel. It is widely used in corrosion-resistant containers, tableware, furniture, railings, and medical equipment. The standard composition includes 18% chromium and 8% nickel, resulting in a non-magnetic stainless steel whose metallographic structure cannot be altered by heat treatment. The GB grade for this is 06Cr19Ni10.
304 L: Sharing the same characteristics as 304 but with lower carbon content, it offers superior corrosion resistance and is more adaptable to heat treatment, though with slightly reduced mechanical properties. It is ideal for welding and products not suited to heat treatment.
304 N: Retaining the characteristics of 304, this nitrogen-containing stainless steel gains enhanced strength through the addition of nitrogen.
309: Exhibits superior temperature resistance compared to 304, enduring up to 980°C with ease.
309 S: With an enriched chromium and nickel content, it offers excellent heat and oxidation resistance, making it suitable for products such as heat exchangers, boiler components, and jet engines.
310: Offering outstanding high-temperature oxidation resistance, this grade can withstand maximum operating temperatures of up to 1200°C.
316: Following 304, this is the second most utilized steel grade, predominantly in the food industry, watch accessories, pharmaceutical industry, and surgical equipment. The addition of molybdenum grants it a unique corrosion-resistant structure, particularly effective against chloride corrosion. It is also recognized as "marine steel" and often employed in nuclear fuel recovery devices. 18/10 grade stainless steel typically meets this application level.
316 L: With low carbon content, it offers enhanced corrosion resistance and is easily heat-treated, ideal for chemical processing equipment, nuclear power generators, and refrigerant storage tanks.
410: A martensitic (high-strength chromium steel) variety, known for its excellent wear resistance, though with limited corrosion resistance.
420: Known as "tool-grade" martensitic steel, this variant is akin to Brinell high-chromium steel and is among the earliest stainless steels. It is also used for surgical knives, capable of achieving a very bright finish.

Application Requirements
Automobile Industry
In the automotive sector, stainless steel is predominantly utilized in exhaust systems, accounting for over half of the stainless steel used in vehicles, with ferritic stainless steel being the principal type. The exhaust system, including components like the muffler and converter, predominantly uses types 409L and 436L stainless steel welded pipes. Approximately 1.5% of the total stainless steel pipe consumption is attributed to the automotive industry, with a usage ratio of seamless to welded pipes at an estimated 2:1.
Petrochemical and Fertilizer Industry
The petrochemical industry demonstrates a significant demand for stainless steel pipes, primarily favoring seamless varieties. Common specifications include 304, 321, 316, 316L, 347, and 317L, with outer diameters ranging from 18mm to 610mm and wall thicknesses from 6mm to 50mm. These pipes are extensively employed in applications such as furnace tubes, material conveying tubes, and heat exchanger tubes, particularly for medium and low-pressure pipeline scenarios.
Water and Gas Fluid Transport
Stainless steel pipes stand at the forefront of fluid transport systems, delivering unparalleled performance in corrosion resistance. When compared to alternatives like cast iron, carbon steel, or plastic pipes, these pipes are unmatched. They are part of a suite of cutting-edge water purification materials that are recognized as some of the finest globally.
Stainless steel pipes are quintessential for the water industry, serving critical roles in water preparation, storage, transportation, purification, regeneration, and desalination processes. The demand for these extraordinary pipes reaches an impressive 25,000 tons annually, underscoring their essential role in the industry.
Equipment Manufacturing and Maintenance
In the realm of equipment manufacturing, stainless steel pipes are indispensable, with over 20,000 tons utilized each year, particularly in grades that are sanitary or antibacterial. These pipes, crafted from premium materials like SUS304 and 316L, meet rigorous standards required by the food and biopharmaceutical sectors. The demand for antibacterial stainless steel, renowned for its blend of durability and antimicrobial efficacy, is on the rise, especially in applications such as kitchen equipment, food industry worktables, medical instruments, and even household items like towel brackets and refrigerators.
