Product Description
Copper bar is a versatile non-ferrous metal processing material known for its excellent processing properties and outstanding electrical conductivity. Our offerings are primarily split into brass rods (a cost-effective copper-zinc alloy) and purple copper rods (with a higher copper content). The brass rod, composed of a copper and zinc alloy, derives its name from its distinctive yellow hue. Brass with a copper content ranging from 56% to 68% boasts a melting point between 934 to 967 degrees Celsius. Its superb mechanical properties and remarkable wear resistance make brass ideal for manufacturing precision instruments, ship parts, artillery shells, and more. The zinc content affects the color: 18%-20% zinc results in red-yellow, while 20%-30% zinc yields brownish yellow. Additionally, the unique sound of brass when struck makes it the material of choice for Eastern gongs, cymbals, bells, horns, and Western brass instruments.
