Product Description
The copper bar, a premium non-ferrous metal processing bar, boasts excellent processing properties and superior electrical conductivity. It is predominantly categorized into two types: the brass rod (a copper-zinc alloy that is more economical) and the purple copper rod (which contains higher copper content). The brass rod, made from a copper and zinc alloy, is named for its distinctive yellow hue. Comprising 56% to 68% copper, the brass alloy melts at temperatures ranging from 934 to 967 degrees. Renowned for its outstanding mechanical properties and wear resistance, brass is ideal for manufacturing precision instruments, ship components, and gun shells. Varying zinc content imparts different colors: 18%-20% zinc gives a red-yellow tint, while 20%-30% zinc results in a brownish-yellow hue. Additionally, brass produces a unique sound upon impact, making it the material of choice for Eastern gongs, cymbals, bells, horns, and various Western brass instruments.
