The brass rod, notable for its characteristic golden-yellow color, is a copper-zinc alloy with a melting point that varies between 934 to 967 degrees Celsius, depending on the copper content (56% to 68%). Esteemed for its excellent mechanical properties and superior wear resistance, brass is the material of choice for crafting precision instruments, ship components, gun casings, and beyond. The zinc content in brass influences its color, ranging from red-yellow at 18%-20% zinc to brownish-yellow at 20%-30% zinc. Furthermore, brass produces a distinctive sound when struck, making it the preferred material for various musical instruments across diverse cultures, including gongs, cymbals, bells, horns, and brass instruments.
