Product Description
A superalloy tube is a marvel of engineering, designed to endure substantial stress while offering exceptional resistance to oxidation and corrosion.
Our product line includes nickel-based and cobalt-based superalloys. Depending on the preparation method, the superalloys can be categorized into deformation superalloy, casting superalloy, and powder metallurgy superalloy. In terms of strengthening technique, we offer solid solution strengthening, precipitation strengthening, oxide dispersion strengthening, and fiber strengthening types. These superalloys are essential in manufacturing high-temperature components like turbine blades, guide blades, turbine discs, high-pressure compressor discs, and combustion chambers for aviation, naval, and industrial gas turbines. They also have applications in spacecraft, rocket engines, nuclear reactors, petrochemical equipment, and energy conversion devices such as coal conversion systems.
Our manufacturing process for superalloys, particularly those with minimal aluminum and titanium content, involves electric arc furnace or non-vacuum induction furnace smelting. For superalloys containing aluminum and titanium, vacuum smelting is employed to control element burning loss and minimize gas and inclusions. A dual process combining smelting and secondary remelting is used to further purify the alloy, enhance inclusion distribution, and refine the crystal structure. Our primary smelting methods include electric arc furnaces, vacuum induction furnaces, and non-vacuum induction furnaces, while remelting is conducted using vacuum consumable furnaces and electroslag furnaces.
Solid solution strengthened alloys and those with low aluminum and titanium content (below 4.5%) can be forged. Alloys with higher aluminum and titanium content are typically extruded or rolled, followed by hot rolling, cold rolling, or cold drawing as necessary. Large-diameter alloy ingots or cakes require forging by hydraulic or fast-forging hydraulic presses.
Highly alloyed and hard-to-deform alloys are extensively used in precision casting for components like turbine blades and guide blades. To minimize grain boundaries that are perpendicular to the stress axis and eliminate porosity, directional crystallization techniques are employed. This process ensures grains grow along a single crystal direction during solidification, resulting in parallel columnar crystals without transverse grain boundaries. Recent advancements include exploring single crystal blade manufacturing to completely eliminate grain boundaries.
