Titanium alloy tubes are tubes made of titanium alloys. Titanium alloys can be divided into three categories according to organization. (1 Titanium is added with aluminum and tin elements. 2 Titanium is added with aluminum chromium molybdenum vanadium and other alloy elements. 3 Titanium is added with aluminum and vanadium and other elements.) They have high mechanical properties, excellent stamping performance, and can be used for various In various forms of welding, the strength of the welded joint can reach 90% of the strength of the base metal, and the cutting performance is good. Titanium tube has high corrosion resistance to chloride, sulfide and ammonia. Titanium has higher corrosion resistance in seawater than aluminum alloys, stainless steels, and nickel-based alloys. Titanium is also resistant to water impact.
Titanium alloy is mainly used to make aircraft engine compressor components, followed by rocket, missile and high-speed aircraft structural parts. In the mid-1960s, titanium and its alloys have been used in general industry, for making electrodes in the electrolysis industry, condensers in power plants, heaters for petroleum refining and seawater desalination, and environmental pollution control devices. Titanium and its alloys have become a corrosion-resistant structural material. It is also used to produce hydrogen storage materials and shape memory alloys.
Titanium Alloy Rod Technical Requirements
1: The chemical composition of titanium and titanium alloy bars adheres to the standards set by GB/T 3620.1. Any allowable deviations in chemical composition during buyer reinspection shall comply with GB/T 3620.2.
2: The diameter or side length of hot working bars, along with their permissible deviations, must conform to the specifications outlined in Table 1.
3: Post hot processing, these rods undergo meticulous polishing through turning (grinding) and cold rolling. The permissible diameter deviation for cold-drawn bars is defined in Table 2.
4: The non-roundness of polished bars, post hot processing, must not exceed half of its dimensional tolerance.
5: The undefined length for processed bars ranges from 300 to 6000mm, while annealed bars range from 300 to 2000mm. Fixed or double-sized lengths must fall within these ranges, with an allowable deviation of +20mm. For double-length bars, each segment must include a 5mm cutting allowance. Specific lengths must be clearly stated in the contract.
ApplicationsTitanium alloy bars are extensively utilized across multiple domains, notably in aerospace, medical, automotive, and sporting goods industries.
1. Aerospace: In the aerospace sector, titanium alloy stands out for fabricating aircraft engine blades, fuselage structural elements, and rocket engine parts. Its high strength, low density, outstanding corrosion resistance, and superior high-temperature properties contribute to reduced aircraft weight, enhanced fuel efficiency, and improved flight safety.
2. Medical: In the medical realm, titanium alloy is pivotal in crafting artificial joints, dental implants, and cardiac pacemakers. Celebrated for its excellent biocompatibility and corrosion resistance, it effectively minimizes human metal allergies and extends the lifespan of medical devices.
3. Automotive: Within the automotive industry, titanium alloy is integral for manufacturing engine parts and exhaust systems. Its high strength, low density, and excellent corrosion resistance help reduce vehicle weight, boosting fuel efficiency and overall performance.
4. Sporting Goods: Titanium alloy is prevalent in sports equipment like golf clubs, bicycle frames, and snowboards. Its use enhances performance and reliability while reducing weight, thereby supporting athletes in achieving higher competitive standards.
