It boasts a melting point ranging from 934 to 967 degrees, depending on its copper content which varies between 56% and 68%. This alloy is renowned for its mechanical robustness and wear resistance, making it ideal for manufacturing precision instruments, ship parts, gun shells, and more. Variations in zinc content can produce different shades, such as red-yellow at 18%-20% zinc and brownish-yellow at 20%-30% zinc. Another fascinating property is its unique acoustic quality, making brass the preferred material for Eastern and Western musical instruments like gongs, cymbals, bells, horns, and brass instruments.
