The brass rod's recognizable yellow tone, a testament to its copper-zinc composition, has a melting range of 934 to 967 degrees for alloys containing 56% to 68% copper. Renowned for its remarkable mechanical attributes and wear resistance, brass is an ideal choice for precision instruments, ship components, gun shells, and more. Varying zinc levels result in an array of hues, such as red-yellow for 18%-20% zinc content, and brownish-yellow for 20%-30% zinc content. Its unique acoustic qualities also make brass the preferred material for musical instruments across cultures, including gongs, cymbals, bells, horns, and brass instruments.
