Given their extraordinary performance characteristics and high degree of alloying, superalloys, often dubbed 'super alloys,' are indispensable in critical industries such as aviation, aerospace, petroleum, and chemical manufacturing. Classified by their base elements into iron, nickel, cobalt, and other variants, iron-based superalloys are generally employed up to 750~780 °C.
