High-Temperature Alloy Pipe Manufacturing Process

Our manufacturing process for superalloys with minimal or no aluminum and titanium content typically involves electric arc furnace or non-vacuum induction furnace smelting. For superalloys containing aluminum and titanium, vacuum smelting is employed to control element burning loss and minimize gas and inclusion ingress. To enhance the distribution of inclusions and the crystal structure of ingots, a dual process of smelting followed by secondary remelting is utilized. Primary smelting methods include electric arc furnace, vacuum induction furnace, and non-vacuum induction furnace, while main remelting techniques comprise vacuum consumable furnace and electroslag furnace.
Solid solution strengthened alloys and low aluminum-titanium content alloy ingots (with total aluminum and titanium less than 4.5%) can be forged. Aluminum and titanium-containing alloys typically undergo extrusion or rolling, followed by hot rolling, with some products requiring further cold rolling or cold drawing. Large diameter alloy ingots or cakes necessitate forging by hydraulic press or fast forging hydraulic press.
Precision casting molding is extensively used for highly alloyed, hard-to-deform alloys, such as turbine and guide blades. To minimize or eliminate grain boundaries perpendicular to the stress axis and porosity in cast alloys, directional crystallization processes have been developed. This involves growing grains in a single crystal direction during alloy solidification to achieve parallel columnar crystals without transverse grain boundaries. Key conditions for directional crystallization include maintaining a substantial axial temperature gradient and optimal axial heat dissipation between liquidus and solid phase lines. Recent studies have also focused on eliminating all grain boundaries through single crystal blade manufacturing processes.
