Performance requirements
1. Annealing processability
The spheroidizing annealing temperature range is wide, the annealing hardness is low and the fluctuation range is small, and the spheroidization rate is high.
2. Forgeability
It has low resistance to hot forging deformation, good plasticity, wide forging temperature range, low tendency of forging cracks, cold cracks and precipitation of network carbides.
3. Oxidation and decarburization sensitivity
Good oxidation resistance when heated at high temperature, slow decarburization rate, insensitive to heating medium, and low tendency to produce pitting.
4. Cutting processability
Large cutting amount, low tool loss, and low surface roughness of machining.
5. Hardenability
A deeper hardened layer can be obtained after quenching, and it can be hardened by using a mild quenching medium.
6. Grindability
The grinding wheel has a small relative loss, a large limit grinding amount without burning, is insensitive to the quality of the grinding wheel and cooling conditions, and is not prone to abrasion and grinding cracks.
7. Hardenability
It has a uniform and high surface hardness after quenching.
8. Quenching deformation cracking tendency
Conventional quenching has small volume change, slight shape warping and distortion, and low abnormal deformation tendency. Conventional quenching has low cracking sensitivity and is insensitive to quenching temperature and workpiece shape.
