Renowned for its excellent mechanical properties and superior wear resistance, brass is the material of choice for manufacturing precision instruments, ship components, gun shells, and more. Variations in zinc content yield different hues, ranging from red-yellow (18%-20% zinc) to brownish-yellow (20%-30% zinc). Additionally, brass produces a distinctive sound when struck, making it indispensable for a variety of musical instruments across Eastern and Western traditions, including gongs, cymbals, bells, horns, and brass instruments.
